Thank You, From All of Us

Filipa has been drawing since she was ten.

It wasn't because someone told her to, but because it was the only place where she felt herself alive. When she was happy, she drew. When she was sad, she drew. When words didn't work, drawing did. She started with charcoal. In 2019 she discovered digital illustration. She kind of never stopped. She always loved to draw people's faces and elements of nature.

Her mother is a teacher. So Filipa knows what that looks like up close: that patience, dedication, that belief in students who don't yet believe in themselves. She had a teacher like that too. An art teacher who looked at her work and said: don't give up, keep drawing!

This box started from the memory of that teacher.

We sat down with Filipa and built it together, including the concept, the products, the story. Everything inside was chosen by her, for the feeling she wanted a teacher to have when they opened it. The postcards and bookmarks were illustrated by her hand and they carry her signature.

When this edition sells out, that's it. It won't come back.

Inside: specialty coffee from Ethiopia roasted by a local company in Cascais, an aromatic candle and artisan soap made by a small producer in Viseu with no nasties and only natural materials, handmade biscuits and strawberry jam from Porto, illustrated postcards, bookmarks, and a personal note by Filipa - a Portuguese illustrator and a coauthor of this Signature collection edition. 

Everything sourced from independent Portuguese producers and chosen because it belongs together.
